I love to light scented candles all year round, but at Christmas they feel essential don’t they? They fill the air with the fragrance of the festive season – orange, pine, spices… I was just browsing for ideas and I thought I’d share my findings with you. Hope you find something that brings a little festive joy into your home this Christmas too…
Find number one is made by Brighton-based trained aromatherapist Corrine Taylor. Essential oils of cinnamon, clove and orange impart a comforting and heartwarming festive fragrance. I love that all of Corinne’s candles are handmade, chemical-free and scented only with essential oils, which means that as well as natural fragrance, they also offer therapeutic benefits to enhance mood and wellbeing.
Well worth knowing, too, that Corinne includes one of her sustainably produced tote bags worth £9.95 with every order over £60.
Cinnamon and Clove Soy Wax Candle from The Future Kept
Hand-poured in Lancashire, this 100% pure and natural soy wax and pthalate-free candle creates a cosy mood. Cinnamon and clove are added to with hints of star anise, sweet baked vanilla pudding and chai spices. Can’t think of anything nicer to light on a cold winter’s evening.
Hand-poured in London, this soy candle evokes the feeling of finding quiet within the forest. Earthy cedarwood, oakmoss and black pepper offers a restorative, calm feeling for Winter, Christmas and beyond.
I always find something lovely in the Lewes Map Store. This botanical Winter Bergamot candle combines bergamot blossom with a hint of clove to create comfort on slow winter mornings. Hand-poured in a British made hand-blown glass with a wood wick that will crackle and glow when lit, this candle is made with 100% natural ingredients. It’s also beautifully packaged inside a recycled cardboard gift box and shipped using eco-friendly packaging. Love.
This is such a great idea. The kit contains everything you need to make your own natural soy wax festive candle, including re-usable enamel pot, soy wax, wick, stirrer and exclusive Denys & Fielding Christmas blend of pure essential oils. Cinnamon, clove and clementine blend to create a warm, festive atmosphere.
Components are all sustainable and the packaging recyclable. If you’d like to send as a gift, you can add a personal note and gift wrapping. As I said – great idea!
