Racoon soft toy knitting pattern
Each finished knitted racoon is approx. 12 inches long (head to bottom, so not including the tail) – the perfect size for cuddling.
Claire’s racoon is knitted flat on two straight needles but joined as you go. If you’re familiar with her patterns, you’ll know what she means! There are simple short rows and small amounts of seaming which you work on as you build up to the final construction as it makes for an interesting knit.
Claire gives yarn recommendations too if you want to make yours similar to hers. For this little racoon she used kid-silk yarn with DK alpaca which results in a texture that’s supremely and gloriously soft! And cuddly! Which is essential in a toy destined to be loved…
