Seaside interiors we love
If you, like us, love seaside interiors and dream of beach living, these highlights from our Coastal Style Pinterest board will be right up your street (or is that charming narrow, cobbled lane winding down to the sea…?)
Dreamy seaside interiors
I love the pared down simple coastal styling of this cottage in Mousehole, Cornwall. It’s called The Oyster Catcher and you can book it through Unique Home Stays >>
What I love about this interiors is that the colour palette is so restrained yet still feels easy going. Soft whites and warm greys are softened with vintage finds, texture, fresh simple flowers and natural textures. I love this – don’t you?

Love this Jo Malone Wood Sage & Sea Salt scented candle. The description says it all: ‘escape the everyday along the windswept shore. Waves breaking white, the air fresh with sea salt and spray. Alive with the mineral scent of the rugged cliffs. Mingling with the woody earthiness of sage. Lively, spirited and totally joyful’.
The Croft Collection Findon sofa, large sofa Grand sofa and Findon armchair or Snuggler from John Lewis have a similar deep-seated look (I like the Beaulieu loose cover in Light Grey but there are masses of shades and fabrics to choose from) For a relaxed look, I’d mix toning pale shades together to avoid a too-uniform look.

This Hector Medium Dome desk lamp by Original BTC is a design classic, or get the look for much less with this John Lewis & Partners Bistro desk lamp. John Lewis is a great place for picking up quality pieces to create a cool, coastal feel in your home. The St Ives range of garden furniture. I love the clean, simple lines and the pale, bleached almost driftwood feel to the timber. The range is inspired by the quaint seaside town of the same name on the coast in Cornwall and combines traditional English with contemporary Scandi design. As well as the other picks I’ve featured in my Shop the look gallery above, I would add in the Morso firepit BBQ

Calm Coastal Bedroom
This serene and calming bedroom idea is by Sophie Allport. You can buy her bedding collection at John Lewis & Partners here >>

Coastal beach house
I can’t resist including this Ickworth Summerhouse, in National Trust colour Painters Grey.
Imagine it whitewashed inside, with your favourite cosy seating, perhaps a little stove and simple shelves for jars of flowers and your favourite books and beach finds. And a kettle and teapot for good tea. Maybe an old wooden oar or two propped up outside, a cedar hot tub and a deck chair or two. And a radio. You could almost just move in and pretend you’re living in a beach hut.
Seaside fabrics
Love this By the Sea linen fabric by Vanessa Arbuthnott – the perfect way to add some contemporary coastal style to your home. Also love this blue and white stripe linen covered armchair by Vanessa Arbuthnott – perfect for simple, scandi inspired coastal vibe…
For a floral twist on seaside interiors, you can’t go wrong with pretty Hatley Blue – particularly if you team with a fresh, clean stripe..
For a more muted take on seaside, I also love this Jolly Stripe Natural Black linen fabric.
Love these ideas from Cabbages & Roses – perfect for seaside bathrooms or cosy coastal living.

Hi, we’re expats, living in the USA, and are thinking of turning our home into a seaside cottage look. We live in a bungalow, and we’re starting in the livingroom. We’re looking for simple, ideas so any and all would be welcome.
Do any of the crafters sell to USA?
Thanks for any help.
