par-avion co. is an environmentally conscious design partnership mixing traditional craft and modern styling.

par-avion co. is a design partnership consisting of Simon and Monica Cass. Our backgrounds in furniture making and architecture provide the backbone of our designs, which combine traditional craft and modern styling to create unique pieces. Our signature ‘pi collection’ embodies aspects of furniture making, wood turning, basket making, seat weaving, wood carving and pottery.

Our aim is to design and make good quality products for a reasonable price. We are not interested in transient fads and fashions; we hope what we make is timeless and will be treasured for many years to come.

par-avion co. is dedicated to preserving the environment.  We use natural and renewable materials which are carefully & locally sourced.  Makers from each region are selected on the basis of the quality of their production and their environmental credentials.  Our packaging is 100% recyclable, reusable or biodegradable.

Our designs are protected by our membership of ACID. All intellectual property rights in our designs and products (and in the images, text and design of this website) are and will remain the property of par-avion co. Any infringement of these rights will be pursued seriously.

A portion of our overall annual earnings is donated to the charity Room to Read which supports education equality around the world.

Local Environment

All woods used in the production of our timber products are sourced from small, local timber yards. At the moment our British-made furniture will only be shipped throughout Europe, while our U.S.-made furniture will only be shipped within the Continental U.S.A., Hawaii, Alaska, Canada, Mexico and the Caribbean Islands. This is to minimise our carbon footprint and maintain our commitment to our environmental standards.  If you are outside of this shipping area, you may contact us for a shipping quote which will include a charge towards a carbon offsetting program.
