Millicent Sanders is a textile designer specialising in knit, based in Yorkshire, UK using 100% factory excess. Working as a freelance designer and knitted textile consultant her process involves swatching and developing knitted fabrics, curating colour and texture collections, creating knitwear patterns to produce custom and limited edition pieces.

Colour, texture and shapes are my language and they flow into everything I do, from painting to making. I also love the technical side of knitting, as I have a keen interest in maths and science.
After studying Textile Design at Central Saint Martins, I am well versed in machine knitting and linking (both domestic and industrial), hand knit and crochet.
Milicent’s studio is based in an ex textile factory in West Yorkshire. Every piece of knitwear is made by hand with attention to detail, and every colour is carefully considered.
