Makeplace is Norwich’s new learning venue in the heart of the city’s Creative Quarter. We offer friendly affordable sewing classes in a specially equipped workspace. We provide all necessary fabrics and materials.

makeplace is the latest project from the family that runs the two thriving Anglian Fashion Fabric shops in Magdalen Street.

Our aim

The aim of makeplace is to inspire, encourage and develop all abilities with new ideas and techniques. It has been created to compliment existing shops and to share knowledge and expertise.

We specialise in teaching absolute beginners sewing and crafting skills. If you are totally new to sewing, we can help!

We offer friendly, affordable classes in a specially equipped workspace providing all necessary fabrics and materials unless otherwise stated in the class details.

We also offer bespoke classes for birthday parties, hen events and specialist group/corporate sessions.
