Discover Loop knitting patterns, workshops and ethical yarn.
Loop is a meeting place for knitters of all levels of experience including beginners offering courses as well as utterly gorgeous knitting supplies.
Loop was opened in the Summer of 2005 by Susan Cropper, a New Yorker living in London. She wanted it to be like the best yarn fair you can imagine in a warm and inspiring space along with incredible staff who are expert knitters and friendly and talented people.
Our classes
We host loads of classes from beginners through to master classes taught by visiting teachers from around the world. We offer classes in crochet, knitting, embroidery & textiles and also our very popular Julie Arkell workshops a few times a year.
Most of our yarns are natural fibres and a lot of it is hand-dyed yarn. Sourced from the likes of Madelinetosh, Koigu, The Uncommon Thread and many small independent dyers from the UK and around the world. Loop is the European Flagship shop for both Quince & Co and Brooklyn Tweed. As well as being one of the very few shops in the world that stock Wollmeise yarn. Loop also stocks a huge range of haberdashery which is useful and beautiful. And a great selection of vintage haberdashery which includes buttons, ribbons, beehive yarn holders and threads.
With a passion for print, we also have an incredible collection of publications. Books and magazines from all over the world as well as a huge collection of printed patterns.
