Here at The Little Shoemaker we pride ourselves on the fact that we make handmade children’s shoes from design, all the way though to the finished article.

The soft breathable leather shoes we create at The Little Shoemaker are designed with kindness to children’s feet in mind. The fact that all our children’s shoes are made with the softest of leathers and suede’s ensuring that all those tiny little feet can move around unrestrained.

The Little Shoemaker is a small business created and run by Kevin Rowley a father who wanted to make beautiful footwear that was made in a traditional way, using traditional techniques from a by gone era.

Every shoe that The Little Shoemaker creates has its own unique handmade identity. Each stitch, every stretch of leather, it all serves as a memory to where my fingers have lovingly been.

All The Little Shoemaker  shoes are handmade in England to ensure that all our customers receive the exact same feelings as my own children did when I made their very first pair of handmade shoes. 

The Little Shoemaker Styles

I’ve looked at what shoes are on the market these days, and I’ve been quite disappointed with the styles and quality of the products around. It’s almost impossible to source a child’s shoe that doesn’t have something cheesy stitched onto it. From cartoon characters, to mermaids, to stars and diamonds etc. And don’t even get me started on those flashing things I see in children’s heels.

The Little Shoemaker shoes are contemporary in their ‘design’ yet ‘vintage’ in their style. We so often see children in cheap latex trainer style shoes that are totally synthetic and not doing the children any good at all.

I’ve designed my footwear totally in leather & suede, allowing those little feet to breath! The styles are retro looking shoes & boots that are charming yet quirky, whilst maintaining style without losing any of the important aspects of what we’re trying to achieve.
