ELWIN – a modern sustainable wardrobe made with care in the UK

ELWIN is a luxury sustainable women’s knitwear and clothing brand committed to championing British heritage and craftsmanship through timeless, modern design.

Each piece is made in the UK and crafted using natural fabrics and high-quality manufacturing. They focus on creating effortless styles that last for years, allowing customers to buy less and wear for longer. ELWIN’s collections feature an understated aesthetic, fluid silhouettes, and subtle details designed to transcend seasons.

ELWIN are passionate about using native British wool for their knitwear, which is fully traceable from fleece to fibre and sourced, spun and knitted in the UK.  They use natural, undyed wool which is processed without the use of chemicals and made from the fleece of a single rare breed of sheep – Bluefaced Leicester – known to have the finest and softest fleece of all the British sheep breeds.   They use organic cotton labels and buttons made from corozo nuts so that after a lifetime of wear each piece of knitwear can biodegrade, nourishing the soil and returning nutrients to the earth.

ELWIN is committed to finding ways to create fashion that does no harm to people or the planet, marking the start of an evolving journey toward greater sustainability.

Everything is made in East London in small batches to minimise waste. We use sustainable materials, either natural fabrics or surplus fabric from the luxury fashion industry that would otherwise go to landfill. Even our knitwear is made locally from fully traceable British wool.
