This month we’re loving the new Sophie Dahl for Brora collection of capsule pieces. Launched by Scottish cashmere and womenswear brand Brora the collaboration coincides with Brora’s 20th anniversary. It’s a stroke of genius – the quintessentially British model and author is the perfect ambassador for the brand, perfectly encompassing their relaxed, slightly bohemian, yet quietly luxurious vibe.
Sophie says the collection entitled ‘The Lost Weekend’ was inspired by the idea of the morning after a party on a wild and tangled British island, after a rain shower with the sun beating down on faded florals and washed out silks in a dusky colour palette inspired by the 1930s .
The collection includes several infinitely wearable dresses, perfect for the curvier amongst us. Check out the Emily Tea Dress and Brigitte Shirt Dress. Love the embroidered silk camisole and cashmere shawl cardigan. Both are perfect for layering with the Marilyn cigarette style-trousers and Sophie tunic.
You can find out more about Brora and the company’s passion for British manufacturing in our interview with founder Victoria Stapleton here, and in the short video below.
