To be perfectly honest with you, I stumbled across the launch for the Deliciously Ella new range for Neal’s Yard Remedies whilst at Wilderness Festival last weekend. A collaboration between Deliciously Ella (who you may know for her healthy recipes) and Neal’s Yard Remedies, the range includes Rose, Lime and Cucumber Facial Wash and matching Moisturiser.
Wilderness bliss
I’d treated myself to a Neal’s Yard massage (an essential when camping and even more so when you’re not very good at camping and have packed an air bed with a slow puncture and a flimsy child’s sleeping bag!).
I may have moaned out loud with pleasure as my therapist eased the tension away from my shoulders with warm essential oils. Barely registering the samples I was given at the end of the treatment, I was struggling to rejoin the real world and didn’t actually feel like ever leaving that warm, fragrant yurt.
It was the next morning that I remembered about the freebies I ‘d been given and so took a couple with me as I headed through the long grass in flip flops to the showers. The fragrance was the first thing that hit me as I cleansed my face. Green, fresh, floral and above all very natural and genuinely uplifting. No mean feat after a chilly night under canvas. The moisturiser has the same, delicious scent and a light texture. It did take a moment or two to actually soak in. Once it had, however, my skin felt really soft and moisturised.
Why Neal’s Yard
We found ourselves back in the prettily decorated Neal’s Yard tent later that afternoon. Loitering expertly, we were treated to a free hand and arm massage for our trouble. Feeling so good afterwards, I decided to buy full sizes of both the Facial Wash and Moisturiser.
Once home and back at my desk, I discovered a bit more about the story behind the collaboration and the new products (this cute little film explains a bit about the work that went into creating these products and the thinking behind them. Ella has long been a fan of Neal’s Yard products (as have I) and just look at how beautiful her skin looks!
Now exactly a week since I started using these two products, I can honestly say that my skin feels really good – well moisturised without feeling greasy. It’s probably the fragrance I like best of all, though. It’s so natural, clean and genuinely uplifting. I love the feminine floral notes from the rose which is given a clean, almost astringent edge by the lime, all of which is underpinned by the soft freshness of cucumber. I really like that these products are organic and good for you too.
Definitely worth a try! You can buy the range at Neal’ s Yard shops and online here >>
