About Margaux Studios
Abigayil Swann is the founder of the business:
“After nearly 10 years of working in the fast fashion industry, I became sick of working for brands that had very little moral, creative or sustainable principles. It was always about being the ‘first to market’ with trends that only lasted for a few months, and this put a huge amount of pressure on the designers, buyers, factories and environment. I decided to quit and set up a new jewellery brand that was sustainable, beautiful and offered a completely made-to order service”
Only the finest materials and components are sourced personally by Abi, and the jewellery is handmade in North London.
Better for the environment
Why is this better for the environment? The majority of the time the fashion, jewellery & accessories industry is incredibly faced paced and wasteful. With brands feeling the pressure to constantly be showcasing ‘the latest thing’ to their billions of customers, there is huge pressure on factories and the workers within them. This leads to over-production and substantial amounts of excess stock that ends up in landfill.
Margaux Studios do not order large quantities of beads, components and fabrics. They pay all of their suppliers living wages and nothing goes to waste at Margaux Studios. Their postal packaging is all fully recyclable. The gold is conflict-free and they source their pearls sustainably from a small, family-run business in China.
