Handmade by Linda Bloomfield in her west London studio. The tea set is thrown on the wheel in porcelain. The beautiful organic shapes have dimples and a tactile satin matt glaze on the outside. The interiors are glazed with a shiny transparent for ease of cleaning. The shapes are inspired by midcentury modern ceramics such as those by designer Eva Zeisel. The tea set serves two to three. About Linda
Linda Bloomfield designs and makes ceramic art and tableware based on her thrown porcelain, with dimples and visible throwing lines showing the hand of the maker. She uses a tactile satin matt glaze on the outside and colour on the inside.
Linda makes her own range of glazes and loves the translucent colours using oxides gives rather than commercial stains. She has written several books on glazes and teaches a course on colour in glazes at the Forest Row School of Ceramics.
