We love… Little Greene and Lane lampshades

Why we love Little Greene and Lane lampshades

The collaboration between heritage paint company Little Greene and the super talented design duo behind Lane has produced a stunning range of two-tone lamp shades that we absolutely love.

Little Greene and Lane Shades

midcentury inspiration

We love the midcentury inspired design which has been given a clean, modern aesthetic. Cleverly, each shade is made entirely from one single material. Two sheets of heavyweight paper are bonded together to show one colour on the inside and another on the outside.

And don’t you love the quirky colour names?  Brighton and Mr David is our favourite – which is actually a beautiful soft blue teamed with sunshine yellow.

Lane is run by designers Joff and Ollie and it’s their passion for British design, culture and history that has attracted some of the UK’s most renowned brands. They have worked with artists and designers including Margaret Howell, David Mellor, Paul Smith and Heal’s. Lane were therefore a natural choice when Little Greene were looking to apply their colours and design ethos to lighting.

Each lampshade brings together two inspiring colours that have been carefully matched from Little Greene’s paint collection. All the shades have been screen printed on the inside as well as on the outside.

There are no plastic components, making each shade entirely recyclable and biodegradable.
The paper used is made in England and the lampshade is manufactured in the UK giving it very low production miles and great eco credentials. What more could you ask for?
