Discover Dirtbags handmade recycled rucksacks, climbing bags, accessories and more
What we do: recycling old outdoor and climbing gear and saving it from landfill. Locally made, locally sourced.
Dirtbags Climbing began with a reluctance to throw away our old climbing gear, a sewing machine found in a skip and a bag load of creativity. Today we scout to find climbing ropes, scrap outdoor fabrics and just about anything else that gets sent our way to hand make unique chalk bags, rucksacks, dog collars and more.
We are climbers living in the Lake District, England who want to make ethical, handmade products. We don’t outsource or cut corners, and we make everything in our hand-built workshops at the back of our house.
We have a beautiful countryside and want to protect it so we support local businesses and groups, whilst continually striving for a circular economy. We do everything we can to be zero waste and eco friendly. The nature of modern consumerism damages our playground, so retail companies must act to minimise this. The way Dirtbags’ products are made reflect our love for the outdoors, and hopefully encourage all to reduce, reuse and recycle.
