  • Mr Moydens Handmade Cheese is an award-winning Shropshire cheese producer. Our cheeses are made with milk from a herd of British Friesians that freely graze the pastures and hedgerows on our 65 acre dairy farm.

    Mr. Moyden’s handmade cheeses are made using traditional cheese making techniques which have been tried and tested by countless generations of farmhouse and specialist cheese makers.


    We make a range of award-winning artisan cheeses using the finest raw milk obtained from well kept and contented cows that graze the traditional pastures that are unique to Shropshire. We also make artisan Shropshire butter. These cheeses are the essence of Shropshire, provenance preserved.

    Our story

    Established in 2005 by Martin Moyden, Mr Moydens Handmade Cheese has fast become a well respected artisan cheesemaking business. This stems from a passion for quality, attention to detail and a lust for perfection.

    Martin was inspired by his grandmother’s tales of farming and traditional ways of food production. Cheesemaking really caught his imagination. He loved that a simple way of preserving milk, which can be traced back over 9000 years, could still be used today. And used to produce many varieties of cheese.
