About us...

Damselfly make luxury dresses for girls aged 2 - 12 years. Our collections combine the finest fabrics with a vintage aesthetic to create an effortless grace reminiscent of the early 20th century. We aim to make each hand finished piece so beautiful that it could have come from a couture atelier of the time, a time when hand work was prized and the quality was of the standard that our grandmother’s appreciated and understood.

Inspired by the 1920s in particular, this season’s collection features the dropped waists and square necklines that capture the mood of the decade. Antique lace and silver braid highlight the warm ivories and soft shell pinks of our flapper dresses.

Our piece de resistance is an ombre-dyed silk chiffon feather dress. Each feather is cut by hand creating true elegance in motion. Also available as a skirt, these feathery treasures were definite favourites with our young models.

Made here in England, this collection introduce our organic silk satin - a lustrous fabric which drapes beautifully and feels gorgeous on the skin. Combine this with vintage metallic braid, applied by hand to the satin, and you have our very special Vita flapper dress. Designed especially to showcase braid sourced from an atelier that used to supply the couture houses of Paris, these easy-to-wear dresses are in a limited edition just for this season.

For the first time this year, we are also introducing ‘one-of-a kind’ pieces that feature antique lace and trimmings. It means you can can enjoy the very best of the past with all the benefits of a quality new dress that will remain beautiful for lifetimes.
