The Cotton Potter

About us...

My name is Emma Verner and I work from home in my workshop in the quiet village of Dickleburgh, Norfolk.

Having studied art and design and then with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Ceramic Design, I continue to create pieces that are both functional and stylish. I am intrigued by the use of unconventional materials to construct interesting objects and I find myself being increasingly drawn to working with textiles. I now combine my interest in ceramics and textiles to produce a range of cotton slip and wrap covers for disguising everyday containers such as tin cans, jam jars, bottles and flower pots.

I currently use classic calico for its natural quality with a variety of patterned cotton remnants, vintage buttons, hatpins and some embroidered details.

All fabric has been pre-shrunk and my products may be hand washed and ironed.
