About us...

Hi! I make hand knitted lampshades and lamps using a range of natural, undyed yarns and solid oak bases. All lampshades are hand knitted by me in Manchester, and I hand make the bases too.

The shades are knitted from raw silk, recycled linen and recycled cotton yarns produced by a company in the north of England. My aim is to minimise environmental imact of my lamps choosing these lower impact textiles.

All the bases are made from FSC-certified oak. I use lampshade frames, manufacturered in a neighbouring county, in a novel way to create the unique Ose asymmetric shape.

Ose is French for 'dare', and represents the opportunity to choose a different and unusual lamp or lampshade to punctuate your space.
