About us...

Paintings inspired by the coastline at Hastings, Rye and Dungeness.

Walking our greyhounds at dawn and dusk I am inspired by the changing seasons. Fishermen's shacks, rusted boats, railway carriages and groynes punctuate the haunting open vistas of shingle, grass, sand and sea. I work in oil, on panels, applying the paint in layers, with knives.

This summer I am opening my studio in Herstmonceux from 1st to 17th June, every Friday, Saturday and Sunday between 9am - 5pm. I am happy to open during the week if you phone to arrange a time in advance. Visitors can see where and how I work, talk paints, frames and hounds, plus browse available paintings, monoprints and greeting cards for sale. I accept commissions if they include a hut or a pointy nosed dog.
