Voted one of London’s Top 100 Shops by Time Out magazine, Holly&Lil has also been called “the Jimmy Choo of dog collars.” Every collar is designed and handmade in England using sumptuous Italian leathers to create startlingly original designs. The collars are made in limited edition collections reflecting fashion colours and themes and, uniquely, Holly&Lil also offers a totally bespoke collar design service.

Holly&Lil began life as a webshop, set up five years ago by two dog lovers. Their aim was to marry excellent design and functionality with traditional British luxury leatherwork, as an alternative to the ‘blingy’ mass-produced products which dominated the designer pet world. From a kitchen table inception, Holly&Lil has grown rapidly and now sells all over the world through its website, shipping internationally to customers who love the company’s very British signature style.

Holly&Lil’s own retail shop is in London. Situated by London Bridge, with Zandra Rhodes’ Fashion Museum as an illustrious neighbour, it sells Holly&Lil’s own handmade collars, leads and harnesses alongside organic treats, handmade jersies and other accessories for cats and dogs which Holly&Lil source from other small craft businesses. Selected outlets worldwide, including Harrods, also sell capsule collections of Holly&Lil’s collars, leads and harnesses.

Whether it’s a classic hound collar for a ‘country gentleman’ or be-jewelled pieces for canine divas, Holly&Lil’s designs are uniquely beautiful. Each is a one-off, handmade in England in their traditional leather workshops and there are chic collars, leads and harnesses for both town and country dogs of all shapes and sizes. At the heart of the collections lie luxury materials… from supple Italian calf leathers, glowing with colour, to Harris Tweeds, Scottish tartans and semi precious stones.

Customers can buy from stock or commission their own one-offs. There are many reasons why people want one-offs; their dog might have an unusual neck size or coat colour, they might want a collar in their own fabric, such as a Clan Tartan, or they might want to commission something outrageously, fabulously, special as a present for a friend. Making spectacular collars for dogs to wear to their owners’ weddings has become a speciality, as has designing collars incorporating customers’ club, school or racing colours.
