Cherith Harrison works from home in Edinburgh, designing what she describes as 'fun and quirky conversational pieces for anyone who loves animals, Scottishness and colour!'
She studied Graphic Design at Edinburgh College of Art and has a great eye for detail, colour and composition. Her often rural themed prints tend to have a modern, contemporary feel to them.
What inspires you?I am inspired by all things Scottish, its fascinating wildlife and beautiful countrysides to name but a few, and I love taking what most people consider to be 'traditionally Scottish' and making it into something quirky and youthful.
What’s special about your designs? All my designs begin with a single pencil drawing, on a plain piece of paper. I start my drawings by looking for patterns within the subject matter, which I deliberately exaggerate through scale and colour to help give the overall image a sense of character, beauty and vibrancy.
