I just stumbled upon this new Vintage Patchwork tile range from Welbeck Tiles and I think I’m in love! Welbeck are Britain’s leading handmade tile company and their products are all designed and made in their small workshop in Penzance, right down on the southern tip of Cornwall. They have such an innovative approach to tile design, producing a wonderfully eclectic collection which includes tiles inspired by classic English seaside postcards, original botanical illustrations, and engravings of old household items such as jelly moulds and whisks. But I have to say, I think this new vintage patchwork range is now my firm favourite. For more information visit www.welbeck.com.

Thank you to the lovely people at Period Living Magazine who featured us on their April ‘Green News’ page, along with a beautiful fragranced candle from Pure Light Candles, which they spotted on this site.
Pure Light’s wonderful handcrafted candles are 100% natural and made from clean burning soy wax. They’re currently busy developing a beautiful new fragrance for summer – all will be revealed soon! Visit www.purelightuk.com to find out more and to buy online.

I do love the quirky, witty and delightful things that come to us through the wonders of twitter. This made me chuckle today - what could possibly be more touching than sending a heartfelt message to a loved one and saying it with… woodworm?!

Or for something a little more meaty there’s the Pork, Beef, Lamb range of cards – ideal for the BBQ lover in your life, perhaps…?

These fab greetings cards, made by farmer’s daughter Helen, are inspired by the British countryside and life on her family dairy farm in Staffordshire. To buy online visit www.afarmersdaughter.co.uk.
With Spring in the air, I just couldn’t resist posting these beautiful pictures of scented narcissi grown on the Isles of Scilly. Located 28 miles off the western tip of Cornwall, the islands enjoy a particularly mild climate, which means that a variety of fragrant blooms can be grown all year round.
At Churchtown Farm on the remote island of St Martin’s, Ben and Zoe Julian’s family business Scilly Flowers has been growing and sending flowers by post for over 18 years. The flowers are picked early in the morning while they are still in bud, before being carefully wrapped and packed into gift boxes. Next they are taken by mail boat to the larger island of St Mary’s from where they take a short helicopter trip to Penzance. Then it’s over to Royal Mail who do an excellent job of ensuring that most flowers arrive at their destination the very next day.
Not only are they super fresh, but compared to imported flowers they’re great value too. Prices start at just £9 for a posy of 16 blooms, while a stunning gift box of 100 stems costs just £25.50 (including 1st class postage). To order online, visit www.ScillyFlowers.co.uk.

We were beside ourselves with excitement this month to see a whole page dedicated to FromBritainWithLove.com in the very fabulous and totally inspiring Sew Hip, the UK’s No1 sewing magazine!
Editor Alice Blackledge featured three fantastic products from some of the talented textiles businesses in our online directory: a handmade Cupcake Doorstop from By Alex (£35.00), Linen Heart Cushions from Rosablue (£20.00) and a ‘Love’ Egg Cosy by Charlotte Macey (£6.00).
She went on to say “A website championing all things beautiful and handmade from our fair isles… what’s not to love about From Britain With Love?”. Excuse us while we blush a little…
